The Association of Charity Officers site does not automatically capture or store personal information, other than logging the user's IP address and session information such as the duration of the visit and the type of browser used. This is recognised by the Web server and is only used for system administration and to provide important statistics which the Association draws on to evaluate use of the site.
We do not use cookies for collecting user information from the site. You may be asked for personal information if you want to take advantage of specific services. In which case we will only use the personal information you provide to deliver the services you have told us you wish to take part in.

Where the Association collects personal data we will use your for administration and to provide help to people in need. We may employ the services of a third party to help us in certain areas such as website hosting. In some cases that third party may receive your information. However at all times the Association will control and be responsible for the use of your information.
We are registered in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998. We may collect information about the pages you view online and we may hold this information in our database. We will not give, sell or lease this information or any of your Personal Data to any other firm, person, organisation or agency for commercial purposes.
We may from time to time communicate information about our services to you.

The electronic transmission of information cannot be guaranteed to be secure or error free and such information could be intercepted, corrupted, lost or otherwise be adversely affected or unsafe to use. We will use reasonable procedures to check for the most commonly known viruses before sending information electronically but the Association of Charity Officers shall not have any liability to you in respect of any error or omission arising from or in connection with the electronic communication of information to you.

Summary of terms
Browser
