Charity News Review: Advice to contributors

Charity News Review is the ACO newsletter. There are plenty of ways for members to contribute their work to other members!

Member Spotlight

This is a new feature in the ACO newsletter Charity News Review. We would like to feature one charity member of ACO in each edition. Below you will see a selection of sample questions about your organisation and your work. You do not have to follow the format. All we ask is that you communicate yourself clearly in copy in about 850 words.

The deadline for each publication is the second Friday of the preceding month. We cannot guarantee publication in the next edition after submission but will do our best to keep you informed of publication date.

  • Tell us a bit about your history
  • What makes you unique?
  • What support do you offer?
  • How do you know you are doing a good job?
  • Can you give an example of someone you have helped?
  • What issues are bothering you at the moment?
  • Any ideas for ACO?

ACO Member News

A popular feature in every edition of Charity News Review dedicated to promoting the work of our members and demonstrating the effectiveness of the sector in meeting the needs of individuals, families and communities. We feature news from ACO members looking at their work and innovative ways of approaching beneficiary need. Sometimes the item will feature in the Policy News section.

All we ask is that you communicate yourself clearly in copy between 100-200 words. We reserve the right to edit items.

Guest Columns

We invite charity, associate and corporate members to contribute occasional guest columns on their work, drawing it within a wider policy context, usually on a subject or concern likely to be shared by other charity members.

Very happy to discuss ideas at an early stage. 900 words.
