Actors Benevolent Fund

Aims

To give relief, advice, welfare or assistance in such form as the Council shall determine to members of the Theatrical Profession (see definition below) who cannot work because of accident, illness or old age, or in other cases at the Council's discretion and to their spouses, civil partners and dependants.

People helped

members of the Theatrical Profession: This means and includes actors and actresses who have demonstrated a commitment to the theatrical profession and have performed professionally on stage, radio, in films, on television or any other medium where such arts may be practiced in the future and also theatrical stage managers but does not include walk-ons, extras or background artists.
