AimsTo relieve financial hardship and/or provide accommodation for unsupported women over the age of 40 who are in need and who fall into certain limited categories. People helpedClergy widow branch: Financial help and limited accommodation for women who are: 1. Widows of clergymen of the Church of England 2. Dependants of clergymen of the Church of England 3. Women Deacons and Deaconesses of the Church of England 4. Missionaries of the Church of England 5. Other women closely involved in the work of the Church of England. Parish branch: Sheltered accommodation and limited residential care for women aged 60 and over who live in the City of Cambridge. Financial help for women aged 40 and over living in the City of Cambridge. Preference given to those living in certain parishes within the City of Cambridge, namely the Ancient Parishes of Holy Trinity & St Giles, the Ecclesiastical Parish of Holy Trinity with St Andrew the Great and the Parish of the Ascension. Type of help - Areas - Restrictions- Minimum Age: 40 |
How to applyClergy Widow Branch: Form sponsored by Clergy Widows' Officer or Diocesan Bishop's Visitor (for divorced or separated clergy wives). Parish Branch: Forms for financial help sponsored by suitable person as social worker, GP, etc. - forms for accommodation need support from 3 unrelated persons who have known the applicant for some years.
