ABTA Lifeline & Freedom Travel Group climb Snowdon

Over £5000 was raised in ABTA Lifeline and Freedom Travel Group’s mountainous challenge.

The challenge to climb Mount Snowdon, Wales’ highest mountain which sits 1000 metres above sea level, was undertaken by ABTA Lifeline staff, industry colleagues, and their friends and families. They battled 72 mile winds, bitter cold and 6ft of snow in order to reach the summit.

It had been snowing on Snowdon just the week before their expedition, but the weather had cleared by the morning of 9 April, when the climb took place, for the group of 45 hikers to conquer the tallest mountain in Wales.
