ACO Members' Survey: Response to COVID-19 so far

ACO seeks to run a campaign to promote the work of grant-giving charities to members of the public who might need support in the coming months as the COVID-19 crisis progresses and furlough ends. For this, we hope to gather data from our members to support this campaign.

In speaking with our members there is a common view that benevolent charities will be needed more than ever in the coming months once the government's Job Retention Scheme (JRS) comes to an end. With the terms of the JRS changing from July, we believe now is the time ACO should be promoting the work of our member charities to people that need your support.

We intend to run a campaign to promote the work of grant-giving charities to members of the public who might need your support in the coming months as the COVID-19 crisis progresses and JRS ends. For this, we hope to gather data from our members to support this campaign.

We have therefore developed a survey to capture data / relevant information about how your charity has responded to the COVID-19 crisis so far. This research will be then collated and shared with the national press, charity press, referrers and other organisations that help individuals in need so we can share the message that grant-giving charities are here to help people at this difficult time.

Please access the survey here: https://www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/DJGZCPC

We are also looking for case studies of where you have helped someone impacted by COVID-19 to help strengthen our campaign, so please let us know if you have an interesting story of where you have supported beneficiaries either using the space on the survey, or by emailing us. Please be reassured that we will come back to you to seek appropriate permissions from beneficiaries before any case studies are used in the campaign.

We appreciate that not all our members will be able to answer all the questions in this survey and have all this data to hand at short notice, so please answer as many questions as you are able and skip any you cannot answer. We intend to do a larger survey with more time to respond later in the year once lockdown comes to an end.

We would be very grateful if you could please respond to this survey by Friday 3rd July. If you have any queries about this survey, please do not hesitate to get in touch with hannah@aco.uk.net
