RCN Foundation Spring 2018 bursary

The RCN Foundation's Professional Bursary Scheme supports individuals in learning and development activities such as post-graduate university study or professional short courses. Three bursary schemes providing up to £5,000 funding are open for applications.

The RCN Foundation will fund projects focusing on a number of issues including, but not limited to, the following: obesity, mental health, children and young people's services, older people, and dementia. Learning from these activities should enhance patient care, patient experience and development in nursing practice.

The Monica Baly Bursary Scheme is awarded annually for personal development as a nursing historian and the promotion of scholarship in nursing history. The bursary is for a minimum of £300 and a maximum of £1,000, which the recipient can use to undertake activities related to the history of nursing, including courses, projects or research.

The Mair Scholarship is open to Occupational Health Nursing staff in Scotland who wish to undertake learning and development activities such as university study or professional short courses. The learning from these activities should enhance patient experience and development in nursing practice.
