RN & RM Children's Fund Art Competition 2018

The theme of this year’s Royal Navy & Royal Marines Children’s Fund was Space. There were plenty of entries with many individuals and schools entering, including one school from Gibraltar. A special mention goes to the home schoolers who entered for the first time.

The overall winner was Megan Smith with her picture ‘Big Business’, and second overall was Sophia Birch with ‘Aliens and Space Bugs’. They both received family tickets to the Historic Dockyard in Portsmouth with our grateful thanks to the National Museum of the Royal Navy for those. The other winners all received prizes of art materials, and certificates were sent to all children who entered.

The competition was organised in partnership with Oaka Books, sponsored by Mary Scherer in memory of Paul Scherer, and supported by The National Museum of the Royal Navy at Portsmouth Historic Dockyard.
