The National Autistic Society

The National Autistic Society is the leading UK charity for people with autism and their families. With the help of our members, supporters, local branches and volunteers we provide information, support and pioneering services, and campaign for a better world for people with autism.

Around 700,000 people in the UK are autistic.  Together with their families they make up around 2.8 million people whose lives are touched by autism every single day.

We currently work with the Bank Workers Charity and the Charity for Civil Servants, providing services and support for their beneficiaries. We are very interested in expanding our reach and helping as many people as possible.

The NAS can provide your beneficiaries with a range of services to suit their needs, including:

  • Pre-diagnosis support
  • Local support through our branch network
  • Publications
  • Parent to Parent support and advice
  • Education Rights service eg. Educational entitlements, assessments, education plans and school transport
  • Welfare Rights service eg. Benefits entitlement, how to claim and how to challenge a decision
  • Community Care service
  • Specialist Behaviour advice
  • Exclusions advice
  • E-befriending
  • Transitions support service
  • Understanding Autism online modules
  • Workplace training – working with colleagues on the autism spectrum
  • Workplace assessment and report to advise and identify adaptations for autistic employees
