As an independent charity, we’re set on advancing the mental wellness of our industry and helping everyone find their way forward – wherever they’re starting from.
We’re both realistic and positive about the industry we love. Most of the NABS team have worked in adland before, so we understand what our beneficiaries are going through, from the highs to the challenges.
With more than a century of development ourselves, we know growth happens everywhere. Each and every one of our services and events is based on this positive and practical mindset.
NABS offers an in-house Advice Line. Our team of six advisors all combine real-world experience of working in the industry together with training and expertise in listening skills and HR legislation. The team have also received specialist training from a range of organisations in areas from domestic violence to debt. The advisors provide a friendly, empathetic and bespoke service, providing information and impartial guidance on a wide range of issues from redundancy to neurodiversity, anxiety to grievance issues. People call us as many times as they need; in fact, we received more than 5,300 calls in 2025.
We also offer group workshops and coaching sessions on a number of topics informed by the needs of the industry and themes that we hear on the Advice Line. We introduce new subjects to explore as our industry evolves.
We’re passionate about the power of community. We’re stronger together, and so is our mental wellness. The industry comes together at our fundraising events and we’re also lucky to have community fundraisers doing brilliant things to raise money for us.
