What is occupational therapy, and how might it help the people your charity supports?
This introductory session is led by ACO corporate partner The OT Practice and designed for anyone working directly with beneficiaries.
Occupational therapy helps people overcome the physical, cognitive, emotional or environmental barriers that make everyday life harder. For charities supporting people experiencing ill health, disability, injury or changing circumstances, it’s a useful option to consider when looking at someone’s wider support needs.
The OT Practice will introduce the role of an occupational therapist and the kinds of challenges they can help with. Using practical examples, they’ll look at when an OT assessment could help and what recommendations or interventions might follow.
There will also be time to put your questions directly to occupational therapy specialists.
This event is exclusively for ACO members. If you provide financial and wellbeing support to individuals and aren’t yet a member, explore the benefits of joining ACO.
