No one left behind: The Insurance Charity’s awareness week

The Insurance Charity shares how its annual awareness campaign is helping to ensure that no one who has worked in insurance misses out on the financial support and practical guidance available to them.

The Insurance Charity wants to ensure that no-one who has worked in the insurance industry misses out on the support available due to a lack of awareness.

Each year it delivers a campaign to raise awareness throughout the industry, asking its supporters across the UK, Ireland, and the Channel Islands to get involved however they can, whether they are an individual, employer or local insurance network.

The Insurance Charity has offered free giveaways, and a free digital Supporter Toolkit to enable people to take part and will be active on social media and engaging with trade press throughout the Week (22-26 June).

The Charity wants to not only reach those needing assistance, it wants to educate employers that partnering with them doesn’t cost, nor require membership and that it is there to complement the support they are already providing to employees.

The Insurance Charity offers confidential financial support and practical guidance to current and former insurance people and their dependents, irrespective of their role or length of service.

Last year the Charity awarded almost £700K to those in the industry facing challenging circumstances such as redundancy, ill health, disability. domestic abuse, or loss of a loved one.

The Insurance Charity, celebrates its 125th anniversary next year, wants to increase the amount it awards and support even more people, so hopes this year’s campaign will reach those insurance people who need it most.
