As part of our Frontline Worker Training Programme, this webinar explains the importance of remaining vigilant to safeguarding concerns and how to respond appropriately to disclosures and suspicions of abuse when working with beneficiaries or clients over the telephone.

Taking place on:

  • Tuesday 17 June 2025, 1:30pm – 4:30pm – Sold out
  • Friday 27 June 2025, 9:30am – 12:30pm –  Sold out
  • Tuesday 29 July 2025, 1:30pm – 4:30pm – Spaces available

The session will provide an overview of safeguarding legislation and outline key responsibilities for organisations working with children or vulnerable adults. It will explore categories, signs and symptoms of abuse, how to recognise possible abuse during a phone call, and what to do if you’re worried about a customer, including how to respond in situations of immediate danger.

It will also offer practical guidance on handling calls of distress, responding to disclosures, and supporting clients to keep themselves safe. Participants will gain a clear understanding of how to share information appropriately in line with GDPR, confidentiality, and consent.

After attending, delegates will feel more confident in identifying the signs of abuse, using appropriate approaches on distressing calls, and taking the right steps to safeguard individuals at risk.
