Welcome to the December Charity News Review

It’s been another challenging year for many of our charities. The cost of living crisis continues to drive increasing demand for financial and well-being support and meeting this presents a challenge in balancing the obvious desire to provide often critical services against the need to maintain financial sustainability. Yet in the face of this, ACO members continue to demonstrate remarkable resilience and innovative approaches in making a real difference in the lives of their respective beneficiary audiences and should be strongly applauded for this!

From an ACO perspective, we are excited about the start of 2024: our Salary Benchmarking/Working Patterns report comes out in early January and in February we commence our Frontline Worker training programme – both initiatives that we hope will provide real value to our colleagues across the network (further details to follow). We hope this will prove to be another strong year where we can bring members together to create connections, share knowledge and hopefully collaborate!

In the meantime, on behalf of the ACO team (Rosie, Jenni and myself) and trustees may we wish both a relaxing and enjoyable Festive Season and we look forward to working with you in 2024.
